As a child I once stayed there for a week and we’d get out and about doing various activities. Sue really was a good bird spoter and knew the names of all the birds on our nature walk.
One morning, Sue was watering the plants on the balcony at their place in crewkerne. On her way back in, Grandad thought he’d hide behind the curtain and shout boo for fun. It back fired. She bounced back in shock, knocking one of grandads newly popped plants off the ledge, smashing on the ground floors’ patio. Oh how me and Sue shared a laugh as grandad claimed the pot to be a priceless artifact!!!
