Memories of times with Sue in CAOS, now known as CUDOS, Crewkerne United Dramatic & Operatic Society. I’m Dendy, current Chair of Cudos & we’ve been remembering some lovely shows we shared with Sue joining us on stage, such as fun times together in Oliver. Also what a fantastic supporter she was of us when no longer treading the boards. She was a regular audience member at our various productions, whatever they were, encouraging others to come & watch. We knew she’d had some very tough times with her health in recent years & we’re all saddened to hear of her passing. We know how much she’ll be missed & send her family our love & condolences xx

Sue enjoyed folk dancing and for many a year was an active member of Crewkerne U3A Folk Dance Group. Sue always arrived early to set out the tea cups and biscuits for the tea break. Sue is missed by all of the dancers and on Monday 1st July the group will be dancing Sue's favourite dance 'The Indian Queen' in her memory.

There are many memories and thoughts of Sue, the most kind, caring and selfless lady, whose legacy will live on in her loved ones. But most of all was the happiness she brought into Dads life in all the years they had together, and we are very grateful to her for that.

A family close friend of many years her lovely smile and keen interest in others is what I recall first. With Bill they made for a fun loving genuine couple who were always up for a laugh. A wonderful person and always a pleasure to be in her company.

My first memories of Auntie Susan are family events. As children we were always running around playing and I thought Auntie Susan and Bill were highly entertaining! She always liked to tell me the story of how they were late for my Christening! As an adult I'll never forget her coming over to mine and Chris's first flat exclaiming - "Plenty of room to run around naked!" I'll always remember her love of dogs, music and dancing and her wonderful partnership with Bill. She had a zest for life and a spring in her step!

I first met Susan when Bill her husband introduced us. Bill and l worked together in South Somerset District council Housing Department and over the many years l know just what strength and loving companion Susan was to Bill. A wise gracious lady whose memorable smile radiated warmth and tenderness.
